The University offers several opportunities to be physically active on campus. Some of the various resources are listed below!
South Campus Track
The track behind the Skytop Office Building is open and available for the Syracuse University community three days a week! Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from noon to 1 p.m. What a great way to: Take a break! Get your steps in! Have a walking meeting! If for some reason the gate is locked, contact the Wellness Initiative at 315.443.5472.
Move it Monday and Monday Mile are brought to you by Healthy Monday Syracuse. They are both a fun way to get in your daily exercise. Move it Monday offers a variety of free fitness classes. Monday Mile easily works into your schedule and helps to jump start your week. Oh- and it’s also a great excuse to go visit the Syracuse and Onondaga County parks! C’mon, grab a buddy!
Indoor Walking at the Dome
Raining, too cold, or too hot for a walk outside? The Carrier Dome is open for indoor walking daily from 11 a.m.. to 2 p.m. on the upper concourse. Enter the Dome through Gate B and check in with your SU ID.
Syracuse University Noontime Running League
The Syracuse University noontime running league has a series of weekly runs during the fall and spring semesters held at Syracuse University’s Manley Field House indoor track. The league is open to and free for all faculty and staff. Syracuse University Recreation Services offers many comprehensive and accessible recreational opportunities. Students, faculty and staff with a current SU ID are encouraged to take advantage of the six on-campus fitness facilities which promote health and wellness to the SU community.
