Thrive!

January 2026

Thriving in life is not about the absence of stress or difficulty; it is about having the capacity to meet life’s challenges with resilience, purpose and support.

Research in positive psychology shows that people thrive when they intentionally cultivate strong relationships, a sense of purpose, effective stress management and daily practices that support mental and emotional well-being.

Rather than simply getting through the day, thriving invites a more intentional way of living that helps us feel engaged, connected and capable, even during demanding seasons. Most importantly, thriving is not reserved for “good times” or certain personality types; it is something that can be learned, practiced and strengthened over time.

For many of us, there has never been a clear place to learn these skills. Thankfully, decades of research in well-being and positive psychology have paved the way for practical, evidence-based tools that support resilience and sustainable well-being. In 2026, faculty and staff are invited to take part in the THRIVE! Well-Being Series.
